Rather than sending guests across the city, this guide deliberately concentrates on the neighborhood around the house and the nearby downtown core: coffee, dinner, theater, baseball, museums, parks, churches, haircuts and the practical stops that matter during a longer stay.

Our goal is simple: show how much of daily Fayetteville life can happen in the Haymount–downtown area. The recommendations below are intentionally concentrated in this local core rather than scattered across Cumberland County. Many are along Hay Street, Arsenal Avenue, Oakridge Avenue, Broadfoot Avenue and the downtown blocks beyond.

Continue down Hay Street and you reach independent cinema, restaurants, museums, live theater, Segra Stadium, coffee and local businesses.
Leave the car parked sometimes
